the tallest tower game
Stick 'Em Up!

stack 'em high.
shoot 'em low.

how to play?

the rules of engagement

stack 'em high! roll the die,
make your tower reach the sky.

build your base, load the powder,
store your ammo, make 'em cower.

Stick 'Em Up!™ when you roll,
one well-aimed shot: they pay the toll.

roll 1-3 (the build): build your tower with an intact card

  • 1: place your card flat
  • 2: fold in half sticky-to-sticky (either way)
  • 3: fold in half sticky-to-non-sticky (either way)

*add the card to your tower

roll 4+5 (the two-timer): build your tower with a half-card, save the scraps for later

  • 4: tear a card into one half sticky, one half not
  • 5: tear a card into two identical halves

*set aside the discarded half to create your ammo
*once there are 6 discarded halves, crumple them up together and then begin creating another group of 6 called a bandolier

roll a 6 (the showdown): shoot for the moon!

  • 6: yell "Stick 'Em Up!"
  • *you MUST point finger-guns at the opponent(s) and they must stick their hands up in the air
  • *if you have a full bandolier (six crumpled halves from rolling 4 or 5), you get to SHOOT IT at any opponents' tower.

the golden rule: you may only touch the card you are placing, and the one card it connects to. hands off the rest.

the half-cocked: if you roll a six while no completed bandolier is available to you, the opponent(s) can shout "womp womp" at you and laugh at you

the grace: if anyone breaks the rules, like shifting or lifting their own entire tower, or if they mistakenly touch an extra card, that's okay. however repeat offenders should be heavily punished

the goal

i wanted to make a very fun tabbletop game that anyone can play with things they have in their junk drawer. all you need is one d6, and a stack of stick cards and a flat playing surface

the reason i am doing this

i am supposed to be getting a job, and that terrifies me. so, i will be pursuing this instead.
